I would like to point out, however, that the name Jaybird did not belong to Larkin but to his brother William Henry Liles, Jr., who was my great great great grandfather.Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14955961962695390165noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8807493704875611039.post-86416764315223700772016-05-03T17:20:41.934-07:002016-05-03T17:20:41.934-07:00Don't know for sure if I'm a descendant of...Don't know for sure if I'm a descendant of this guy, but very well could be! It was republished several years ago in three parts. I have a printed copy.

In it, he recounts other aspects of the Liles story, including the precise location of the fight and some of its gory details. His account of Kinny covers the entire length, but there are many places on your blog that he never mentions. I can't wait to read more of your account.

By the way, I come from a long line of Eshams who settled along Indian and Upper Kinny around Stricklett in the early 19th century. The other side of my family are Waldens. My grandfather Woodie Walden was lockmaster at Dam 32 almost for the dam's entire existence.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11218198167102319361noreply@blogger.com
